As an expert in emotional intelligence, Brad Garrett delivers keynotes, small group presentations and seminars that empower people, leaders and teams to take control of their lives; and overcome life’s obstacles, difficult emotions and problem behavior in their personal and professional lives.
Brad is a licensed marriage and family therapist as well as life coach with more than 25 years of experience. He is the author of the book, “Take Control of Your Life.”
Through his speeches, seminars, consulting and writing, Brad teaches life-changing techniques that improve your physical, mental and emotional responses to anger, stress and anxiety.
Brad worked 23-years as a therapist with the Department of Juvenile Justice Services (DJJS) in Las Vegas, Nevada before retiring in 2016. During this time, he also worked as a clinical supervisor for an adult Domestic Violence Program for two-years.
Brad’s responsibilities at DJJS included counseling delinquent youth and their families, conducting numerous anger and stress management groups and corrective thinking classes. He regularly provided professional training to the department’s 200+ probation and detention officers in their Police Officers Standard Training Academy.
Brad graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (1986) and Master of Arts (1991) in Psychology. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry in 1979. He was a co-founder and co-pastor of a Calvary Chapel in Northwest Las Vegas, where he served for eight years where he had an extensive teaching platform and provided pastoral counseling during this time.
Brad completed his book, “Take Control of Your Life,” in late 2017, which draws from his many years of experience as a therapist, professional trainer as well as a former pastor.
Brad was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada; where he still resides today.
